St. Francis Xavier, a Spanish missionary,
spent about two and a half years in India.
During that time, he baptized thousands of converts and established Christian communities. His missionary work extended to marginalized groups, and he also aided in education and healthcare.
After his death on December 3, 1552, he was buried
on the island of Shangchuan.
The feast of St. Francis Xavier is celebrated on 3rd December all over the world which marks the day
he was buried.
Give me the strength to be worthy of the mission you entrust to me.
